Former PUSHED Singer Launches PERSQUAREINCH
May 26, 2004Former PUSHED singer Travis Neal and has formed a new band with Dan Trujillo (ex-18 BONEZ) on guitar, Shane Monaghan (ex-18 BONEZ) on bass, and Jared Clayton on drums. Dubbed PERSQUAREINCH, the new group "is what I've been starving for for a few years now," said Neal. "There is no boundaries in the writing style, we are not limited nor are we saying, 'We have to sound like this.' So it is full of intensity and emotion."
With regards to what happened with his previous band and how the new group came together, Neal said, "There has been a lot of rumors floating around that [PUSHED] is broke up, the band is back together, this person is out of the band, that persons out of the band, well let it die now! The band is done, there have been a few good years and a hell of a ride but it is over.
"During this time of slumber I have been working my ass off trying to build a new project, and finally I found what I was looking for. It came in a form of close friends and old bandmates. These are guys I started playing with years ago and we were in a room just jamming one day and it all made sense that the chemistry and brotherhood."
Upcoming PERSQUAREINCH shows:
Jun. 25 - San Diego, CA @ Brick By Brick (w/ THE DREAMING)
Jun. 26 - Barona Indian Reservation (private show)
Jul. 19 – Corona, CA @ Showcase Theatre (w/ BLEED THE SKY)
